Alterations Policy
Welcome to a worry free process of achieving the perfect custom fit for your bridal gown.
Our alterations services are customized to each bride and suited to the best outcome of the garment. We are experienced in styling and fit of your bridal look and strive towards new levels of exceptional quality through workmanship.
Custom designs are available as well as custom accessories and embroidery.
Our alterations process includes 3 fitting appointments. More appointments are sometimes necessary for custom pieces or drastic weight loss.
The first appointment we will teach you how to properly put on the gown for the wedding day. The alterations specialist will pin the gown to fit the body and make any necessary adjustments needed or requested by the client, which can include adding cups (no bras are worn under gowns).
Pease bring the underwear/ shapewear you plan to wear that day and your bridal shoes to the first fitting ( or exact heel height).
The second fitting we will confirm the adjustments of the pinned areas now sewn and the gown length (hem) and bustle (your train lifted attachment). The second fitting is typically 1 to 2 months the prior to the wedding, unless more time is required for any reason (usually weightloss).
The gown will be finalized after that and be prepared for the 3rd fitting/pick up. This is typically 2-3 weeks prior to the wedding to ensure the best fit for changing bodies.
Typically every wedding dress needs adjustment all over including the body, hem and a bustle installed (to hang up train onto back of gown).
Bras are not necessary as wedding gowns are fully structured with boning and additional cups of various size options can be added (sewn) into the garment.
We suggest bringing a pair of lazer cut nude underwear in a size or 2 bigger then you normally wear to try on at the 1st fitting. We suggest going up in sizing to minimize underwear lines.
Weightloss policy
We want to ensure the perfect fit for your gown. Please let your alterations specialist know if you planning on changing sizes in the future and we will prolong the work on the affected area and complete the hem and bustle in the meantime. We suggest having the second fitting 1 month prior to your wedding. We ask that after the second fitting you remain at that size to ensure a perfect fit. Please note - if more adjustments have to be made over 1" we reserve the right to charge you for the area to adjusted a second time.
